My name is Talia and I am in 10TG

This year we are doing SPEC. I have made a memory box and on friday we are making a school lunch and non school lunch. I like doing SPEC becuase we can learn new things and learn how to make sure we finish work and bring things ourselves instead of expecting the teachers too.

Strathmore School visit

As part of  9TG's Project Based Learning, students had to create a project (powerpoint, poster or booklet) in small groups of 3 that teaches others about recycling and reusing.  We asked Strathmore School if we could present these to a class at their school and were given a lovely yr 6 class to work with :o). I am very proud of the 9TG students who came and presented their projects,  they owned the stage as the video's below show:

Students of 9TG and 10TG

Over the last few weeks blog permission forms were sent home asking parents and caregivers for permission to have their faboulous children involved in our blog. I am still waiting to get these back from some students so please return these so we can have the students using the blog. A big thanks to those families who have retuned these and keep an eye out over the next week as the students each get to write a blog entry introducing themselves.

Our flags and brochures.  Students did a co-operative task, working with a partner, they had to design a flag and brochure which told us something about both of them.  Very infomative and students worked well together.  We are pretty happy with the end result.
Yr 10's descriptive writing.  We wrote about Tokoroa and then celebrations.  Students did a great job on both pieces.
Our computer room.  Students are able to access both the school network and the internet.
