Ms Tathams' 2016 School reports
As I am writing reports for my kids they are given an opportunity to write them for me! I encourage them to be honest but fair, just as I am when writing thier reports. They also provide me with next steps to enable me to keep improving in the classroom.

Yr 10 Cooperative Slideshows
Students were given a copy of the Slide Show task sheet. They were being assessed on their group slide show and how well they worked cooperatively. This learning task taught students a lot about how to effectively work as a team and how to delegate. Students were also responsible for managing their time to ensure they completed the slideshow by the due date. Groups were given a strict word limit to eliminate copying and pasting and making each slide to wordy. The purpose of our slide shows are to compliment an oral presentation and not provide viewers with a lot of reading. Some of the slides in the slide shows met the success criteria of a slideshow, some still need development but all students worked cooperatively and discusssed and shared thier ideas which was the goal of the oral language component of this task.

Students wrote Diamante poems, created comic strips, reflected on the film, wrote as a character from the film and created a group slide show, these are some of the final products.

Students had marks deducted for copy and pasting and making each slide to wordy. The purpose of our slide shows are to compliment an oral presentation and not provide viewers with a lot of reading. Some of the slides in the two slide shows met this criteria and some need tweaking to make the grade.
